CED Alumna and CGC Director:
Mayoral Recognition Awardees

19 June—as part of the 61st Charter Anniversary Celebration, the 2009 Mayoral Awards was held at the Villa Caceres Hotel to honor Naga City's most outstanding citizens. Ma. Sheena Howard and Dr. Rufino Ramos were among the Mayoral Recognition Awardees.

Both were given the award for their outstanding service and performance in their chosen endeavors that measurably contributed to the city's growth, honor, and glory.

Ms. Howard, CED Alumna and AdNU HS Faculty, graduated class valedictorian and was conferred with the St. Ignatius of Loyola Gold Medallion, among other awards. She was a cum laude with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Honors Program, major in English. Ms. Howard was also a national awardee in two prestigious recognitions for outstanding students, namely the Ten Most Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) and the Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines.

Dr. Rufino Ramos, Director of the College Guidance Office, was recently conferred the rank of professor last 20 February 2009. He also participated in the Youth Scientist Program of the XXIX International Congress of Psychology (ICP 2008) held at the International Congress Centrum in Berlin, Germany last 20-25 July of last year where two of his papers were accepted for poster presentation.
