AdNU to host TF2010 Multisectoral Workshop and Launching

2-3 June 2009—The Ateneo de Naga University will host the Task Force 2010 Bicol-Wide Multisectoral Workshop and Launching at the Arrupe Convention Center.

Task Force 2010 is a consortium and partnership between and among various election watchdogs aiming to push for the needed reforms in the electoral process and even in the COMELEC in order to restore credibility to the whole exercise and to ensure that there will be a clean, honest, peaceful, and credible elections in 2010 and beyond.

Student leaders and representatives from various schools in Bicol, all of which are members of the Bicol Foundation for Higher Education (BFHE) and Bicol Assocation of Catholic Schools (BACS), are invited to participate. The event will feature topics related to the elections such as Voters' Education, Discernment on Candidates, and Empowerment of the Less Privileged.

The Ateneo de Naga University Institute of Politics is the Secretariat and coordinating center for the TF2010 activities in Bicol. Mr. Renne Gumba, Executive Director of the AdNU Institute of Politics, is the coordinator of the event.
