ICT-integrated – Intel Philippines
Intel-Teach Philippines awarded the Ateneo de Naga University’s College of Education a Plaque of Recognition for fostering an enabling environment for Information and Communication Technology integration into its teacher education curriculum and its valuable contribution to the successful implementation of Intel-Teach programs in the Philippines.
The award was received by Dr. Arnulfo Aaron R. Reganit, college dean, during the Intel Teach Essentials Course Faculty Enhancement Workshop held at San Carlos University, Cebu City on February 6-7 and at the National Intel-Teach Pre-Service Conference at Bohol Plaza, Tagbilaran City on February 8-11, 2009.
Dr. Reganit was joined by Dr. Rita R. Obsequio, college faculty, in the said workshop-conference. Deans and faculty members of 35 teacher training institutions all over the country attended to share strategies, assess initiatives and draft doable institutional plans towards institutionalizing and sustaining capacity building efforts.
The workshop-conference is a continuing professional opportunity offered exclusively to Intel Faculty-Master Trainers. It updates the participants on the most current pedagogical approaches, ICT resources and tools now contained in the latest Essentials Course Curriculum. Hands-on activities covering on-line resources on digital literacy, designing and assessing projects, and new communication and social networking tools such as wikis, blogs, collaborative bookmarks and tags were provided.
